HARDWOOD FLOOR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
WEEKLY: GENERAL CLEANING/DUSTING
Using the PALLMANN Hardwood Floor Dusting Pad, lightly dust the floor to remove large debris. A vacuum may also be used for large areas. The PALLMANN Hardwood Floor Cleaner can be used with the PALLMANN Microfiber Pad on a weekly basis or as needed to thoroughly clean your floors. Clean stubborn spots, spills, and shoe marks by spraying the PALLMANN Hardwood Floor Cleaner directly on the areas.
MONTHLY: INSPECTION
Inspect protector pads on furniture, and ensure that all walk-off mats are in proper locations. Visually inspect the wood floor for traffic patterns that may be present. If a traffic pattern is noticeable, it may be time to consult a wood flooring professional to discuss recoating options.
YEARLY: PROFESSIONAL DEEP CLEANING
Contact a professional hardwood flooring contractor to deep clean your wood floors using the PALLMANN Clean Strong product once a year. Over time, accumulation of everyday residues such as oils, grease, and dirt will occur on the hardwood floor. The residues will act as an abrasive which may cause premature finish wear. The PALLMANN Clean Strong product is a professional product that should only be used by a professional hardwood flooring contractor.
SEVERAL YEARS LATER: RECOAT
A new coat of finish may need to be applied to your wood floor several years after the initial application. This will ensure that you do not wear down the current finish to bare wood, causing expensive sanding procedures. Compared to re-sanding, re-coating is an inexpensive procedure that can often be completed in one day, with little to no dust in the home. We recommend using our dustless re-coating procedure PALL-X BOND and top coating with one of our waterborne finishes.
FLOOR CARE TIPS
- Avoid using water and vinegar, soaps, or waxes. Vinegar is an acid that will dull your floor finish over time. Soaps and waxes will leave residues on your floor's surface.
- When the microfiber pad becomes saturated with dirt, rinse with water in the sink. Use a new microfiber pad for every 500 sq. ft. of flooring to be cleaned.
- Always use entrance and walk-off mats at doorways that lead to the wood floors.
- Use furniture protector pads to prevent scratching or noticeable wear areas.
MAGIC OIL FLOOR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Using the PALLMANN Hardwood Floor Dusting Pad, gently dust the floor to pick up large debris. A vacuum can also be used for bigger areas. PALLMANN Hardwood Floor Cleaner can be applied using a PALLMANN Microfiber Cleaning Pad on a weekly or as-needed basis for thorough cleaning.
For stubborn spots, spills, and shoe marks, spray the PALLMANN Hardwood Floor Cleaner directly on the affected areas.

The frequency of applying MAGIC OIL CARE depends on the location and how often the floor is used. MAGIC OIL CARE is not meant for daily cleaning but should be used occasionally to keep the floor looking its best. If the floor starts to show signs of wear or loses its even matte finish, MAGIC OIL CARE can be applied to restore a fresh, uniform appearance. Please refer to the MAGIC OIL CARE application instructions on the right.

YEARLY MAGIC OIL CARE
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- Vacuum and mop the floor using PALLMANN Hardwood Floor Cleaner (see General Cleaning to the left).
- Shake MAGIC OIL CARE well before using. It is recommended to ventilate the work area to ensure proper drying.
- Dilute 1 ounce of MAGIC OIL CARE with 10 ounces of water in a spray bottle.
Spray a light mist over the floor to create an even layer of MAGIC OIL CARE that can be quickly mopped up.
Using a damp microfiber mop, spread the misted area, working with the grain of the wood, and let it dry.
Repeat the process until the entire floor is evenly coated. Be careful not to leave heavy streaks (lap lines) or pooling.
- Clean tools with water after each use.
MAGIC OIL CARE APPLICATION SCHEDULE
The maintenance schedule will be dependent on the usage of your floor.
- RESIDENTIAL: 1 – 2 times per year
- LIGHT COMMERCIAL: 2 – 3 times per year
- COMMERCIAL: Once a month
