PALL-X 2-KOLORIT APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Sand and prepare the wood floor in accordance to NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) sanding guidelines. More information on these guidelines can be found at www.nwfa.org
It is recommended to water pop wood prior to application of PALL-X 2-KOLORIT. As soon as the floor is visibly dry, begin application of PALL-X 2-KOLORIT.
PALL-X 2-KOLORIT is a two component (Comp. A & Comp. B) stain & sealer.
Prior to mixing, always bring PALL-X 2-KOLORIT to room temperature.
Thoroughly stir Comp. A before adding Comp. B. Mix both parts at a 5:1 ratio (5 parts A to 1 part B), stirring for 60 seconds. When blending different colors or batching multiple units it is recommended to mix in a separate container.
NOTE: One bottle of hardener (Comp. B) will activate one can (Comp. A) of PALL-X 2-KOLORIT.
PALL-X 2-KOLORIT may be applied using a buffer, stainless steel trowel, or rags.

Prior to application, always perform a color sample test on the wood floor in a small area to ensure desired color.
PALL-X 2-KOLORIT colors can be blended to achieve a custom color.
A second coat of PALL-X 2-KOLORIT may be applied to darken or enhance color. If second coat is applied, 12 hours must elapse before coating with fi nish.
For best results the recommended application method is with a Stainless Steel Trowel (item #12506) and removing with a white or red pad on a rotary buffer.
While buffing, work backwards out of the job area to ensure that all footprints are removed.
Clean tools and applicators with PALLMANN® Clean Box wipes.
PALL-X 2-KOLORIT (not hardened) can be used hours or days after initial opening. Opened containers should be securely recapped and stored in a cool location until reused. KEEP FROM FREEZING.

DO NOT recap PALL-X 2-KOLORIT after hardener has been added as a vapor pressure explosion will occur.
Risk of Ignition! PALL-X 2-KOLORIT contains natural oils that may pose a risk of ignition. Rags and other materials containing this product may heat and spontaneously ignite, if exposed to air. Soak any wiping rags and similar materials with water and keep/dispose in tightly sealed, airtight metal containers.
Sanding dust of oxygen-drying systems are a fire risk! After conclusion of sanding, the sanding dust must be soaked with water and disposed of in tightly sealed, air tight, fire proof containers!

With a gloved hand apply product into corners and edges with a small red or white polishing pad or carpet pad.
Pour a small amount of PALL-X 2-KOLORIT into the center of a polishing pad or carpet pad. Starting 2 feet from wall, work PALL-X 2-KOLORIT into wood until all areas are covered. Add more product as needed to maintain coverage rates.
Allow PALL-X 2-KOLORIT to penetrate wood floor for a minimum of 5 minutes and no longer than 30 minutes prior to removing excess material.
With a gloved hand and a clean small white polishing pad or clean, dry, lint-free cloth rags remove excess material from corners or confined areas where buffer cannot reach.
Remove excess PALL-X 2-KOLORIT with a clean white polishing pad or carpet pad under the buffer. When pad is saturated (leaves swirls or slings product), flip pad over and use reverse side or change to a new pad. Multiple pads will be needed for the removal
of excess material.
Use a clean white pad or carpet pad until all excess material is removed.

NOTE: If floor has beveled edges or is hand scraped, DO NOT trowel apply. The buffer application or rag on/off are the preferred methods.

Pour a 6 – 8 inch puddle of PALL-X 2-KOLORIT directly onto the floor. Using a flat, stainless steel trowel (item #12506), apply material across the floor. Add additional material to the puddle as needed.
Allow PALL-X 2-KOLORIT to penetrate wood floor for a minimum of 5 minutes and no longer than 30 minutes prior to removing excess material.
With a gloved hand and a clean small white polishing pad or clean, dry, lint-free cloth rags remove excess material from corners or confined areas where buffer can not reach.

Preferred method for stairs, landings, and harder to reach areas.

Using clean, dry, lint-free cloth rags, saturate with PALL-X 2-KOLORIT and apply to raw wood.
Allow PALL-X 2-KOLORIT to penetrate wood floor for a minimum of 5 minutes and no longer than 30 minutes prior to removing excess material.
Use clean, dry, lint-free cloth rags to remove excess.
Keep coverage rate around 300 – 500 square feet per liter.

Maintain a coverage rate of approximately 300 – 500 square feet per liter. Sanding sequence and wood species will affect coverage rates.
Five hour dry/coating time with normal climate conditions of 65 – 75°F and 50% RH. 12 hour dry/coating time for white or pastel (containing white pigment). Cooler temperatures and higher moisture may delay dry/coating times. Warmer/dryer conditions may expedite drying time.
PALL-X 2-KOLORIT is a stain and sealer in one application. Additional PALLMANN® waterborne sealers may be applied when dry, but are not required. Apply any PALLMANN® finish over PALL-X 2-KOLORIT within 3 days (72 hours) of initial application.
If more than 3 days (72 hours) has elapsed, PALLMANN® PALL-X BOND recoat adhesion product must be applied prior to a PALLMANN® waterborne finish. Contact your local PALLMANN® Territory Manager for further assistance.
